Call for Papers

Ludwig-Maximilians-University (LMU) looks forward to welcoming you to Munich and the 42nd Annual Conference of the European Association for Research in Industrial Economics (EARIE). The conference will take place 28-30 August 2015 in Munich, Germany.

EARIE Annual Conference

The EARIE Annual Conference provides a yearly platform for delegates and members to present and discuss the latest research in Industrial Economics. The conference attracts more than 400 participants each year from Europe and other parts of the world.

EARIE 2015 will take place on the main campus of LMU Munich, located in the city centre of Munich.

Munich

The city of Munich is the capital of the German state of Bavaria and is located 80 kilometres north of the Alps. With a growing population of currently 1.4 million, it is Germany’s third largest city and a major centre for higher education, research, technology, finance, and media. Munich is frequently top-ranked in international liveability rankings. With its many parks, vibrant cultural life, beer gardens, surrounding lakes, and the Alps nearby, it is a very pleasant travel destination, especially during the summer.

Young Economists' Essay Awards

The Young Economists' Essay Awards (YEEAs) are intended to encourage young researchers to participate in the EARIE 2015 Conference. The awards are aimed at exceptionally innovative and high-level papers written by researchers who: (a) are under the age of 35 and (b) have completed their PhD less than 5 years ago. For papers with multiple authors, each author should satisfy both criteria (a) and (b). Each year, one of the YEEAs is dedicated to the late Paul Geroski – this dedication is given to the paper that makes the most significant policy contribution; this year will be the 10th time that EARIE bestows this award in Paul Geroski’s memory. As of 2013, Elsevier has kindly sponsored the YEEA money prizes, for which EARIE is very grateful.

Note: If you wish to be considered for a YEEA award at EARIE 2015, please indicate this in the corresponding checkbox on the paper submission form.
